Rational viewer UI/UX redesign

  • The viewer has been updated in a manner where it is now more responsive, has a cleaner UI, and includes new features. Here are a few changes:
    • A responsive toolbar that only has icons that are usable on the component you are on
    • Filetype icons are now present next to all documents in a list, and the document being viewed.
    • Numerous new features and layouts for the analytics viewer tabs

    (And much more!)

Coding Containers

Coding containers allow for the grouping of coding fields together (of varying types). The fields in a coding container are visible in the viewer under the container name, and the container name, if clicked, will collapse (hiding all fields). This allows for the optimal organization of coding fields when dealing with complex coding groups.

Nested Coding Fields

Coding fields can now be grouped in a way that reflects a ‘parent’/’child’ relationship. There is no maximum number of nesting levels. Here’s an example:

    This is Tag A

        This is Tag B

                This is Tag C

Coding Rules: Dependencies

Rules can now be set for coding tags that make one or more tags dependent on the selection of another tag. Example, you can now require that a user enter a privilege reason in a text box, IF they selected a ‘privileged’ checkbox.

Highlights feature

'Highlights’ can now be added to document images, which works just like adding a rectangular redaction.

Custom highlight reasons can be created, and highlights can be searched for on the search page.

Markups Viewer Tab & Page

The ‘Redactions’ page and viewer tab has been changed to ‘Markups’.

In addition to the existing redaction features and metrics, the markups page and viewer tab now contains and displays highlight features and metrics.

Document Set Comparison Report

This report takes documents in “Set One” (document, load, or folder), and compares them against documents in “Set Two” (matter, load, folder, or another singular document). This comparison is done at a user defined comparison percentage – much like near duplicate detection.

The first tab of the report outlines the documents in set one (column A) that matched with the documents in set two (column B), and at what percentage (column C).

The second tab contains useful metrics that you can pass on to the client – such as how many documents were in both sets A and B, and how many documents in each set matched with the other set.

Improvements to margins for email files

The imaging process for email files will now yield larger margins – no more hole punching through relevant data.

Administrative

Email threading performance updates

Our teams testing metrics indicate that the new and improved email threading process is now up to 4x faster.

Coding groups can now be rearranged

Sick of document metadata always being at the top of the list? No problem. Head over to the coding administration page and re-arrange your coding groups with single click-and-drag actions.

Download full family option now available on single document downloads

Single document downloads now get the same love as bulk-downloads. With one extra click, grab those attachments in that email too.

Redesign of the ‘Create Subjective Coding Field’ dialog

Creating coding groups and subjective coding fields has never been easier. The new dialog layout and method of creating multiple choice and checkbox fields should make for an optimal coding creation experience.
